After selecting the characteristic curve for the salt to be measured (coarse or fine-grained), road salt or de-icing salt, the salt moisture meter is pressed onto the salt surface with appropriate pressure. Water content and temperature can be read immediately from the large illuminated display of the salt moisture meter. By taking several measurements at different points, the average salt moisture content can be determined in seconds.

The humimeter MS4 salt moisture meter offers the possibility to store the measurement results for salt moisture by means of an integrated data logger and to subsequently provide these with additional information such as supplier data or measurement location.

The measuring values can be stored on the device, further information like batch number can be added. Via the integrated USB interface, the measuring values can be transferred to a PC, and via LogMemorizer ® PC software the data can be archived, exported, processed or printed out.
