The automotive tester has a measurement range of ±99.9 mA DC. With an accuracy of 0.3% of rdg. +8 digits, the automotive tester is a particularly accurate measuring instrument. In order to conveniently perform measurements with the automotive tester, the current clamp itself is connected to a 1 meter / 3.3 ft cable. The current clamp can thus be attached to the cable to be measured. The automotive tester can be conveniently placed aside at the workplace. This leaves both hands free while reading the measured values, for example to carry out adjustments or configurations on the process technology. Due to the high accuracy and the external sensor, the automotive tester is ideally suited to make quick and reliable current measurements when process signals are involved.
In order to carry out a current measurement, the current clamp of the automotive tester must be clamped around the cable to be checked. This allows the automotive tester to measure the flowing current inductively. This has the particular advantage that a current measurement can be carried out during operation with the automotive tester.
For improved visibility, the automotive tester is equipped with an LED. With the LED of the automotive tester, the measuring spot can be ideally illuminated. Optionally, the automotive tester can be delivered with an ISO calibration certificate.
