Nitrate Test Kit Replacement Reagents (100 tests) - HI3874-100
The HI3874-100 are replacement reagents for the colorimetric determination of nitrate (as NO3--N) with the HI3874 Nitrate Test Kit. There are enough reagents for approximately 100 tests to be used with Hanna’s test kit. These high quality reagents are manufactured in our state-of-the-art facility and are clearly marked with the lot number and expiration date on each packet for traceability.
For determination of nitrate, nitrate ions in a sample are reduced to nitrite ions in the presence of cadmium. The reaction between the nitrite ions and the reagent causes an orange colored complex to form; the greater the concentration, the deeper the color. A color comparator cube is included for an accurate, side-by-side, visual analysis to determine nitrate concentration. These reagents are designed to be used with samples that have an expected nitrate range of 0 to 50 mg/L (ppm) NO3--N.
