SK-RHG(AL) is an Assmann aspirated psychrometer suitable for stable humidity measurement, with alcohol thermometers of a measuring range 0 to 50°C.

■ Overview
Due to its high reproducibility, Assmann aspirated psychrometer has gained great trust as a standard tool for the measurement of relative humidity.
SK-RHG(AL) is one of such that is easy to carry, install, and maintain, and enables stable accurate measurement for a long period of time.
In addition, this product employs alcohol thermometers inside instead of conventional mercury thermometer from the viewpoint of environmental protection.
■ Free of mercury
Due to the Minamata Convention on Mercury, demands for mercury-free products have been widely enlarged recently.
SK-RHG(AL) contains alcohol thermometer instead of mercury thermometers, and yet its accuracy reaches that of the mercury one.
■ Outline of psychrometer
A psychrometer is composed of two identical glass thermometers, with one of them whose bulb is covered with a wet wick. This bulb is called as a wet bulb while the other is defined as a dry bulb.
Water on a wet bulb takes heat away when it gets evaporated so that the humidity can be calculated from the gap of the temperatures on the wet bulb and the dry bulb.
There are two types of psychrometer: aspirated psychrometer which SK-RHG(AL) belongs to, and simple psychrometer.
Aspirated psychrometer has a fan to blow air to the wet bulb to realize precise measurement compared to a simple psychrometer.
SK-RHG(AL) accepts both AC and DC inputs, and it can rotate the fan for 20 hours continuously with just two D batteries to ventilate stably with a wind speed of 3 m/s or more.
■ Changing the measuring range to −30 to 50°C is available by make-to-order. Ask us in that case.
■ Make sure to replace two thermometers simultaneously if either one needs replacement.
If only either of the pair is exchanged with a new one, the spacing between the graduations on the thermometers may differ.
■ SK-RHG(AL) is unable to be provided with a certification by Japan Meteorological Business Support Center, an official authority under the Meteorological Agency of the government of Japan.
A mercury-type SK-RHG (Cat. No. 7450-00) is available to be certified on request.
