For arc measurement on optical components and for determining the optical data of prisms
The SG1800 Spectrometer-Goniometer is a measuring device for the precise determination of optical data from prisms. The internal angles of a prism or the refractive index of the material used can be determined from the measured reflection and transmission angles. The observing telescope is steplessly adjustable, has a reticle eyepiece and offers a Vernier reading accuracy of 1 arc minute. The collimator and telescope have a focal length of 178mm and a clear aperture of 32mm. The prism is made of Flint glass (60°) with an angel of dispersion of 2°. The collimator has a symmetrical precision gap and is made of hardened steel.
